Organization & Purpose: Open Line Foster Family Agency is dedicated to providing a safe, caring environment for children in need. Licensed since 1992 by the State of California Community Care Licensing, Open Line is a non-profit organization which matches caring families with children in order to help them reach their full potential emotionally, educationally, socially and spiritually. We work in collaboration with the juvenile justice system, and social service agencies to assist children on the path to developing positive self-esteem, self-discipline and becoming productive members of society. We provide support to both the children and the foster families through counseling, training and 24 hour availability in order to give them the best possible foster care experience.
Philosophy: Open Line is committed to providing quality foster care by giving every child in placement a chance to succeed in life. We are an equal opportunity foster care agency and provide services to foster parents and youths without regard to race, national origin, gender or religious preference.
Education: We strive to have each child in mainstream education, using services offered by Shasta County Office of Education. Our desire is to give each child a chance to succeed personally, academically, vocationally and socially, so that they can become a contributing, successful member of society.
Family Reunification: The Open Line Foster Family Agency works hand-in-hand with authorized representatives of Juvenile Court and Social Service Agencies whenever reunification is a viable option for a foster child.
